April 3, 2008

Tried to rest all day, but that didn't happen at all. I really wanted to keep life rolling as much as possible...and that included keeping the baby shower date for Saturday, April 5th. I had a lot of planning to do, and a lot of phone calls were exchanged to make sure that everything would still roll the way they needed to.

Meanwhile, I had strong allergic reactions to the anesthesia from the spinal block. They have tried four different medications and I am still itching really bad and even broke out in a rash. The doctors are trying to prescribe me the proper meds...but nothing has worked. My plan is to be discharged tomorrow, but if this isn't taken care of...I might not be leaving like I want.

Larry stayed with Kaydence this morning, and Mariah spent the night with me at the hospital. I had a few surprised visitors that made me smile, and hundreds of phone calls. Larry was able to get back to my hospital this evening and we were able to spend some time together.

Update on Kaydence:
She had an echo cardiogram and ultrasound
Her IV is still looking good and she is leaving it alone
An NG tube was installed to pull any extra fluid or air out of her body
She was intibated again today to prepare her for an MRI
She was sedated and taken to get an MRI at 9:15 p.m.
They are planning for her surgery tomorrow depending on the MRI results. We are still waiting for the results.

Kristen and Ruffner, congratulations on the birth of Kaydence; she is truly a miracle. All of you are in my prayers. If you need anything, don't hesitate to let me know. Ruffner, what's one of the first things you learn in the academy...adapt and over come...Kaydence is learning it rather quickly; she's a fighter. She came out fighting, and she'll continue to. Kristen, grab some rest while you can!

Hi Kristen and family! Praise God you and Kaydence are being taken care of in this valley you're coming out of. You're on the ascent to the top of your mountain. Keeping believing in your miracle. I just want you to know that I as well as many of my church family will be keeping you and Kaydence in prayer believing in a full recovery. I pray you know His healing hands will be guiding the surgeons' hands. Rest in knowing that God is with you and will not leave you or forsake you! Love and prayer, Lisa Snyder and family
